His strong work ethic enables him to remain focused and succeed in areas such as his studies, extracurricular activities and charitable events. Balasa not only belongs to several clubs at IU, he also volunteers at charities and creates unique online content. 

Balasa's work experience has been extensive thus far. He's worked at several businesses/corporations including:

• The Barrington Chocolate and Ice Cream Shoppe – Balasa helped with the launch and operation of the business in the summer of 2007.
• Second Nature Landscaping – Balasa worked as a landscape architect for this newly established family business in the summer of 2009.
• BDF, LLC – Balasa worked on administrative and software projects as an intern in the summer of 2010.
• Lifequotes.com – Balasa worked as a quality control specialist in the summer of 2011.
• Red Mango - Balasa helped with the opening of this location

During the college months where classes are not in session, Balasa dedicates his time to
helping businesses succeed. He not only helped with the launch of a few businesses, he has
also proved to be a dedicated, hardworking business professional.
